when our Founder Sudhir Bhatia set up a creative practice founded
on the principles of human-centred design.
The idea of BRND Studio started taking shape back in 2006, when our Founder Sudhir Bhatia set up a creative practice founded on the principles of human-centred design.
What began as a one-man shop working out of Sudhir’s dining table in
Cobble Hill, evolved into an office space in Mumbai with a full-fledged team.
Building digital products requires an appetite for ambiguity and the ability to quickly adapt to shifts in the market or technology through a continuous loop of ideation-prototyping-testing-refinement. We deliver value through open communication and integration with client teams.
The name BRND stems from our belief that research & development (R&D) is more than a step in a product lifecycle – it is a state of mind for brands that want to stand the test of time.
Sudhir studied Mechanical Engineering and Fine Art at the University of Rochester, followed by Industrial Design at Pratt Institute New York. He proceeded to work at Symbol Technologies (bought by Motorola in 2007) for 12 years, where he eventually served as the Director of Design.
With almost 3 decades experience, Sudhir has worked with Fortune 500 companies like Walmart, Amazon, Motorola, UPS and Coca Cola, among others. Drawing from the tenets of human-centred design, he founded BRND Studio in 2016 to integrate aesthetics and usability with real-world business and technology constraints.
Sudhir teaches Interaction Design at IDC, IIT-Bombay, and has taught at international institutions such as Pratt Institute and Syracuse University. He is a die-hard Liverpool fan and a high-altitude hiker.
